Wormfest 2026 will be 20-22 March at GSP. The theme this year is Waterworld!
Hello DUG! It's time to mark your calendars and break out your best wormfest coveralls! Wormfest 2026 will be held March 20-22 at The Great Saltpeter Preserve and Registration is open! Click here to register now! One of our missions as grottos is to promote camaraderie within our caving community and support some of our favorite places to get underground, so the event will be a fundraiser to support our hosts and proceeds will benefit The Great Saltpeter Preserve. This year Wormfest is brought to you by The Bluegrass Grotto (BGG) & The Dayton Underground Grotto (DUG). Your $20 ticket includes Saturday supper (dessert is pot luck) and non-electric camping fee (Extra fees must be paid for electric sites and are available first come, first served). Wormfest t-shirts will be for sale at the event (with waterworms on them!). The cave options for trips may be subject to change and are dependent on respecting land owner preferences, water levels, and bat hibernaculum. There will be several lead trips and information on caves in the area for exploration on your own. Warning! Some caves flood suddenly this time of year (e.g., Mullins Springs, P11, High Water, Sinks).
